吕东浩博士是一位药物研发专家和CMC方面的咨询顾问(President, Reg-Strategy Consulting, LLC, USA)。吕博士目前咨询服务主要集中在一家中美著名新药研发公司,全面负责其小分子研发(Phase 1-2-3)的CMC法规工作。 离开FDA后,他也曾在美国提供药物研发法规咨询 (Parexel International Corp. USA) 以及为几家著名中国医药研发企业 (也包括中药) 作咨询服务。因此,他在FDA各类会议,US/EU各类研发法规的申报,法规问题解决的策略,和很多其它法规咨询方面,具备丰富的实战经验。

吕博士曾是美国食品和药物管理局 (FDA) 的CMC高级评审官员。 在各类药剂开发,药物商品化,原料药和药剂药品的生产,以及监管控制策略等方面具备深入及广泛的药品监管知识。 在FDA的10年工作中,他取得了药品法规条例,药品法规指南和日常评审程序等方面的第一手经验。 他的日常主要工作是评审IND(小分子药和一些生物类药,e.g. ADC),NDA,ANDA,DMF,BLA咨询 和其它申报(包括医疗装置/药物组合)。他早在2006就开始评审FDA的植物类药(中药)IND。 他曾担任FDA在欧洲EMA儿科委员会药剂评审工作组里长达6年的兼职Liaison联络官员 。

在加入FDA之前,吕博士曾是美国坦普尔大学的药剂学正教授和佐治亚大学的药剂学副教授。 在15年的大学工作中,他担任过17位研究生和多位博士后的指导教授。 并在多项药物开发(小分子和蛋白质分子)领域中取得成绩,包括设计和合成新药分子,新剂型和控释剂型的开发,药物新盐类的筛选,药物动力学,动物试验以及生物材料应用。 在大学工作期间,他还多年兼任制药企业的咨询顾问,并获得多项专利。 吕博士于2007获得美国药学科学家协会(American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, AAPS)焦点人物(Fellow)的终身荣誉。 吕博士发表了65篇药物开发的论文和书籍章节,并作了90多个应邀演讲(兼会议摘要)。 他合作编辑了题为“细胞药物控递:理论与实践”一书。 吕东浩于1990年在美国普渡大学获得工业药剂学的博士学位。
